From Kuma-i

Shirakawa Suigen is near Aso. It is famous for the clean water. With sand in the bottom of the earth to which about 60-ton per minute water springins up. Also, you can buy the water. If you go there, you will be refleshed and become comfortable.

Takamori Yusui Tunnel is located in Aso. This is the tunnnel for water. You can walk inside the tunnel. It is a little bit cold inside, but in summmer it is cool. There is the "water pearl" which is used special flash. One stream becomes a pearly gem, it stops at times, and it flows backward at times. You can see illusion of mysterious light and water.

Nabegataki(waterfall) is very famous in Kumamto. From the parking lot, we have to walk to the waterfall. The road is very steep!! The waterfall is great. Also, you can go to the back of it and see of it.

Aso Mountain is wonderful. If you like mountain climbing (i.e., walking up stone steps), then this is the challenge for you! Once you get to the top, the view of the landscapes below will just blow your mind away. I do suggest going during the autumn time, as in the winter time it can be too brrrr cold, and who wants to go during the summer time anyway? ;)

Saishunkan Seiyakusho is the place where you can see beautiful illumination in winter. It is located in Obiyama. Also, there is a Mos Burger in front of it, if you go to Mos Burger, you can eat dinner there watching wonderful illumination. It is a good date spot.

Reigan-do is near Mt. Kinpo and is about an hour drive from Kumamoto. If you love nature, this is the place to go to! Reigan-do is best known for being the place where Miyamoto Musashi wrote his famous 'Book of the Five Rings: The Art of War'. There is also a field of stone Buddha statues each with his different facial expression located here. It's best to go during the autumn time; that way, you can enjoy a nice cool breeze while enjoying the scenery and sights of Reigan-do.

Tujyun Bridge is

a Christmas illumination

Kumamoto zoo and botanic garden is the place where you can see several animals and plants.It is opened from 9am to 5pm everyday but monday ( the fourth Monday of each month). Its location is Kengun 5-14-2.

• fantastic illuminations

In winter, we can see various illuminations in Saisyunkan hill top where is in Mashiki town. The Saisyunkan hill top is in near the kumamoto airport, and we can go to there about 10 minutes by car.

We will watch those illuminations from inside of cars as drive through when we want to illuminations, and we can also take pictures in "photo area" where is in near the exit of Saisyunkan if you want to it.You'll be able to enjoy to watch fantastic illuminations.

This exhibition will be held until December 25 and we can watch those illuminations from half past 5p.m. to 9p.m.Although we have to pay 500yen when we enter Saisyunkan hill top as an entrance fee, it seems that it is worth going to there as one of memories in this year's Christmas!
