Kumamoto Gakuen University

Gakushoku is the premiere eatery at KGU located in building 7 (building 7 IS the Gakushoku). It's the student cafeteria that both college and high school students, as well as visitors, go to for a quick, inexpensive meal. There are dozens of dishes ranging from curry, to udon, and on to set meals that one can choose from. The prices vary, but all are less than ¥500. And there's even a little ice cream shop inside...the Gakushoku is open until 10:30PM on the weekdays, so there's plenty of time to eat something!

El Panya is THE breadshop for those students who don't have time to wait for food to be cooked at the Gakushoku cafeteria. One can get all sorts of delicious yummies, including sandwiches, cakes, and of course bread, that one can pick and choose from. Awesome eats include the fish sandwich for ¥220 and the cheese cake for ¥120. The Panya bread shop is located in building 12 of KGU and is open for business from 10:00AM until 6:00PM on the weekdays. Elaine rates the Panya with a 7 from a scale of 1 to 10!

San Gokan Gakushoku is the smaller Gakushoku located in building 3 of KGU. If the bigger Gakushoku is crowded and full of high school kiddies on a day that one decides to eat there, then head on over to the San Gokan and get the same variety of food found in its sister cafeteria.
